How can we make sure that science stays open and is secure at the same time? Where should the line be drawn between the free sharing of knowledge and the responsibility to protect sensitive information? How can international cooperation, academic freedom and growing security challenges be reconciled?
These questions will be discussed by the Office of the Ombudsperson for Academic Ethics and Procedures of the Republic of Lithuania at the international conference "Open but Secure Science: Where Should We Draw the Line?", held to mark Global Ethics Day.
Talks and workshops will be given by experts from Lithuania, Belgium, Croatia, Ireland, Greece, Latvia, Romania, Slovenia, Ukraine, France, Germany and international organisations.
