20 October: citizen science in national nature restoration plans
The more4nature project's webinar "National nature restoration plans: where does citizen science fit in?" runs 11:00-12:30 CET. Three project partners will look at how citizen science initiatives can act now and get involved in implementing National Restoration Plans and ensuring compliance with them. The topic concerns all EU countries, Lithuania included.
28 October and 5 November: free training for citizen scientists
The RE4GREEN project offers a free, interactive training for citizen scientists and anyone involved in environmental sustainability projects. Topics: environmental and climate justice, planetary health, and how our own choices and values shape citizen science. It runs 13:00-14:30 CET on Zoom, in English.
Survey: connection to rivers and citizen science
Deign Frolley C. Soriano, a doctoral fellow at University College Dublin, is looking for respondents to an anonymous survey on how personal values, knowledge of freshwater ecosystems and connection to local rivers shape engagement with citizen science and water quality monitoring. It is open to anyone aged 18 or over living in an EU Member State, with or without citizen science experience, and takes about 15-20 minutes.
Call for volunteers: citizen science for climate change mitigation
The Citizen Science Global Partnership is developing a global citizen science programme on climate change mitigation and is looking for volunteers, especially people with experience in funding, communication or data handling.
