ECSA training for research leaders: citizen science in research policy

On 13 October, 10:00-12:00 CET, the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA) holds the online training "Lead the change: citizen science in research policy".
It is aimed at senior academics and research leaders responsible for open science, research policy, graduate education or public engagement. The main question: as citizen science becomes recognised as part of researchers' competencies, how can universities and research organisations prepare?
Speakers
- Prof. Muki Haklay (University College London)
- Prof. Dr. Eglė Butkevičienė (Kaunas University of Technology), a founding member of the Lithuanian Citizen Science Association
- Thomas Kaarsted (University Library of Southern Denmark)
- Amalia Verzola (European Commission, DG Research and Innovation)
They will address the policy case for citizen science, its integration into university research policy, the role of research libraries and the European research policy framework. Participants will also reflect on the readiness of their own institutions.
Registration for this training is closed. Other ECSA events are announced on the association's website.
