CAPS 2026, the annual conference of the Association for Advancing Participatory Sciences (AAPS), will take place on 26-29 May. The conference will be held online, so researchers and practitioners from all over the world, including Lithuania, can take part.
CAPS 2026 is an annual conference that brings together scientists, project managers, educators, community leaders, policymakers and communicators from all over the world. The conference is held online, which makes participation particularly accessible.
The opening keynote of the conference will be given by Professor Kate Devlin, on the topic of the social impact of emerging technologies. It will examine the ethics and social consequences of AI and the relationship between people and technology.
The programme includes sessions on topics such as finding sustainable funding for citizen science projects, the long-term continuity of environmental monitoring, and how to publish participatory research in scientific publications.
ECSA members can register at the reduced AAPS member rate. Registration is open, and the conference programme has already been published. For Lithuanian researchers this is a great opportunity to present their citizen science projects to an international audience.
More information is available on the CAPS 2026 programme and registration page.
